Volunteer, InnVision Shelter Network
David Silver volunteers his time working with children's programs at InnVision Shelter Network (IVSN), the leading provider of shelter/housing and support services across Silicon Valley and the San Francisco Peninsula. Seven of IVSN’s 17 facilities are family shelters, and diapers, especially larger sizes for older children, are the most in-demand product at these shelters.
In addition to his professional work as a technology executive, David is a long-time IVSN volunteer and co-chairs the Volunteer Support Committee at First Step for Families, IVSN's family shelter in San Mateo, California. He works with IVSN staff and volunteers to provide supplies for families and children. Most recently, David has established relationships with local businesses to donate diapers – the children’s programs greatest need – to the shelter.
The USA Unites Award will support building a diaper bank for the thousands of children IVSN serves annually.
