A Mexican-Mormon woman realizes that standing out and fitting in are two sides of the same line.
A writer, Baker authored the book, “The New York Regional Mormon Singles Halloween Dance,” which was published last year by Penguin. She has also written for Elle, Men’s Health, Glamour, Five Dials and The Onion. Her one-woman show, “If You See Something, Say Something,” premiered at FringeNYC. Elna has been heard on This American Life, Studio 360, Radiolab, BBC Radio 4, and in comedy clubs throughout New York City. Born in Tacoma, Washington, her parents now live in Siberia, where her father runs a titanium factory.
